Today at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in Denver, Colorado, the president signs the $787 billion dollar stimulus package in an attempt to help the economy that has been left in a dismal state by the last eight years of the Bush presidency. Although there were only three republicans in the Senate that supported the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, I feel confident that it will stimulate the economy.

Today marks the day of an historical event that has affected the whole world over.

I have received emails from people in other countries that just wanted to let me know how happy they are that the United States of America has a black man as leader of country. At 12:00 pm this day, January 20, 2009, Barack Obama has officially become the 44th President of the United States.
